Our Mission
“The stated
mission of this Commission is to provide a voluntary,
uniform professional credential for those demonstrating
an advanced knowledge of California law and procedures
and to enhance the quality of services available from
California paralegals/legal assistants to the legal
community, and to the public which is served.”

It's a
fact. The best reason to become a Certified Legal Assistant
("CLA") and California Advanced Specialist ("CAS") is to be
among the best. You'll be a paralegal who has acquired the CLA credential by demonstrating advanced paralegal skills
and knowledge of general law. You'll also be one who
has gone a step further to gain a competitive edge with the
CAS.
The
CLA/CAS credential identifies you as a highly skilled
paralegal with specialized knowledge in California law. It
demonstrates your finely tuned expertise and your ongoing
commitment to legal education. It also helps lawyers and
their clients evaluate your abilities as a California
paralegal.
