ABOUT THE CACPS BOARD

The Board of the Commission for Advanced California Paralegal Specialization, Inc. ("CACPS") is comprised of seven members. Four positions on the Board are filled by paralegals who are Certified Legal Assistants/Paralegals. One position is filled by an attorney admitted to practice law in the state of California or a California judge and the remaining position is filled by a paralegal educator committed to the advancement of the California Certification Program. Board members serve staggered three year terms and attend three to four meetings a year during which the board reviews testing and administrative issues as well as marketing efforts. The Board works closely with the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. and others interested in the advancement of the paralegal profession and certification in particular.
